Food and nutrition service director jobs in california Fullerton

Under the direction of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, purchases all food, non-food supplies, and equipment for the department by utilizing on-line computer order entry. Makes decisions on which items to purchase according to group purchasing contracts and based on cost control. Receives all orders and accepts or rejects based on appropriateness of item and quality. Checks quantity, weight and specifications to ensure compliance with purchase orders. Assists director by meeting with vendors assisting in decisions on new products. Maintains inventory records on all products and helps meet budget by turning over products in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains adequate supplies to meet the needs of cafeteria, patient services and catering services as well as items requested by all departments. Follows and enforces all safety and sanitary guidelines for the department.
