Those in the Sandblaster/Painter classification maintain the sandblast booth, clean and change out blast media, order approved blast media, and are responsible for regulatory inspections that meet compliant requirements. They also set up the booth for sandblasting steel, stainless steel, wood, fiberglass, and glass for a variety of components. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of the ice blaster and the set up of the ice blaster to blast steel, stainless steel, fiberglass, and wood on a variety of components. The Painter aspect of this position requires preparation of surfaces prior to application of paints and coatings to buildings (interior and exterior), Attraction vehicles, vendor carts, trash cans, benches, and a variety of other components. Assists in drywall preparation. Prepares and finishes surfaces to journeyman and Disney standards of paint application.
