Essential Job Tasks Set up Numerical Control Burning machines and complete simple programming. Connect hoses from machines to oxygen and fuel tanks. Select torch tip, compute gas pressure, mixture and speed of cut. Adjust length of radial arm to cut arcs and circles. Use hand torch and other tools to prep edges (grinding & routering) and preheat metal for removal of surface impurities. Other jobs duties as may be assigned relevant to the trade.
