2021 Dodge Caravan Santa Monica

This 2001 Dodge Viper is one of fewer than 950 GTS coupes produced for the model year (with far fewer surviving today). The seller acquired the car from the previous owner in Feburary 2021, and the odometer now shows just under 7000 miles. Finished in Viper Race Yellow over black stripes with black leather, the car is powered by an 8.0-liter V10 and was equipped from the factory with a six-speed manual transmission, polished 17″ wheels, power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, and an Alpine CD player. In Dec 2020 it was trailered to the local Dodge dealer in Jackson, MS to have its fluids flushed and replaced. This Viper GTS is offered at $75,000 with its window sticker, two keys, a car cover, records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Missippi title.

Composite body panels are finished in Viper Race Yellow and are mounted over a tubular space frame. The hood is a clamshell design equipped with a central air scoop two sets of vents. GTS coupes feature a fixed double-bubble roof, improving structural rigidity compared to the contemporary RT/10 model. The selling dealer detailed the exterior of the vehicle in preparation for sale.

Polished 17” cast-aluminum wheels are mounted with Michelin tires that measure 275/40 up front and 335/35 out back. The seller notes that the tires have developed some cracking and flat spots from sitting. Braking is from vented, power-assisted discs all around, and the car is equipped with rack-and-pinion steering. The brake and power steering fluid were flushed in Dec 2020. The 2001 Dodge Viper was the first year that came out of the factory with an important, and somewhat revolutionary, change: a 4-wheel anti-lock brake system. Even more than the comforts that had been added over the previous few years, this new brake system takes a step towards taming the beast that is the Dodge Viper, and making it a bit nicer for the average driver to handle. But with this safe addition, no power has been lost from any model of the 2001 Dodge Viper. The 8.0-liter V10 engine still has the power of 450 horses, and proper use of the 6 speed manual transmission can have this monster of the road up to 60 mph in around 4 seconds.

High-back bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and feature perforated inserts. Additional factory equipment includes air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, and an Alpine Radio and the seller notes that the plastic center tunnel/armrest has a diagonal crease.
